Because his enthusiasm, energy and passion for photography is limitless. Michael started teaching back in 2011 almost because a colleague dared him to. He gave it a go and has not looked back since.
He has been a high level fashion, commercial and portrait photographer since 1998 and has had his work published in UK Vogue, GQ, Hello! Michael has also worked with the likes of Johnny Vegas, Robert Powell, Toby Stephens.
Then why is he teaching? Simple – because he loves helping people become better photographers! Michael has been fortunate enough to achieve many of his dreams during his career but he says that one of THE most satisfying things he experiences is when his students reach their goals. From his students successfully turning pro to his beginners suddenly ‘getting’ how exposure works, these are the things that make Michael tick.
He feels that his biggest challenge to date (besides being a new dad) is actually his teaching at Nottingham Trent University where every semester, Michael teaches a one week crash course to fashion students on how to put on shoots.
